I figured I would post how to get around an ASC ban.  It is probably well known but your ID is based off your computer name.  So change your computer name, restart and you are in business again.

Ye you can, just have to make an actor or mmi to do it for you as you need to set it both in the current level and the entry level.

Long time since i'm looking for an ASC's ban bypass

Are there any other ways of getting banned. One of my mates recently got me banned from a UT99 server and i've been unable to get on since. That said i have yet to try renaming my computer which i will promptly try. I have up until now spoofed my MAC address and changed my IP with no success.
So just purely for future reference i'd like to know all the ways that banning works and any possible ways around it. Any help appreciated here guys, i'll try renaming my computer name now but would still like any info regarding possible ways of getting around all banning types.

They could of used HostNameBan on you, which would require you to get a whole new ISP or use a proxy.

thanks Sanca, i've managed to get back on the server now tho i'm unsure how exactly, i was able to do this once before i changed my computer name tho my default gateway was different, go figure its got me. Once again thanks for the response.
